Award-winning: Jeremy Tiang


Award-winning fiction writer, playwright and translator, Jeremy Tiang will be signing books at the Brooklyn Book Festival this Sunday, September 18, 1:00 pm, at Singapore Unbound Booth #126. Tiang’s short story collection It Never Rains on National Day (Tash Aw: “These stories signal the arrival of an important writer.”) was shortlisted for this year’s Singapore Literature Prize. He has translated more than ten books from Chinese, including work by Zhang Yueran, Su Wei-chen, Yan Geling, Yu Qiuyu and Yeng Pway Ngon, and has been awarded an NEA Literary Translation Fellowship, a Henry Luce Foundation Fellowship, a PEN/ Heim Grant and a People’s Literature Award Maotai Cup Prize for Translation. He is a featured author at the upcoming 2nd Singapore Literature Festival in NYC.
