2nd Singapore Literature Festival in NYC
September 28 – October 1, 2016
An independent biennial festival in New York City that brings together Singaporean and American authors and audiences for in-depth conversations about literature and society. 2016 highlights included an exciting opening night reading at the Asian American Writers’ Workshop; a panel on fictionalizing Southeast Asia moderated by Harold Augenbraum at Asia Society; a panel discussion of Sonny Liew’s graphic novel The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye, a New York Times bestseller; and a Singapore theater showcase at the National Opera Center on Closing Night.
